ABOUT THE COMPANY
Founded by entrepreneur and choreographer Jessica Zamarripa, Nudo Piedi Contemporary Dance Company is a fiscally-sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit organization based in New York City, and is currently in the process of obtaining non-profit status. Nudo Piedi provides pre-professional dance training and creates ensemble productions of dance works choreographed by its Artistic Director and guest choreographers from Austin, Dallas, New York City, San Antonio, and Mexico. Membership is by audition only.
PATH AND GOALS
The company is committed to retaining local talent and attracting aspiring dancers from Laredo and surrounding areas. Also, it offers young, talented dancers rigorous dance training, an opportunity to perform, an opportunity to share a common bond, and an opportunity to enrich the Laredo community with high caliber dance works.
Amongst our goals are community outreach. We hope to take dance to schools and give underserved student populations an opportunity to participate in dance.
